Dr. Dennise Lawry is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Dr. Lawry earned her doctorate (2006) and master’s (2002) degrees from Wheaton College. Wheaton College was one of the pioneers in developing an APA-approved clinical psychology program that specialized in the integration of psychology and theology. In addition to all of the traditional psychological training, Dr. Lawry also earned a certificate in Advanced Biblical Studies at Wheaton College.
Dr. Lawry’s therapeutic approach is open, direct and relational. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is extremely important in the process of healing, restoration and growth. Her desire is to help you identify and resolve inner issues and work toward restoring your level of functioning to optimal health. Dr. Lawry is also committed to assisting clients who desire a faith-based approach to draw upon religious and spiritual resources for their personal healing and growth.
Dr. Lawry has extensive experience working with individuals, couples and families presenting with a wide array of issues including depression, anxiety, abuse, trauma, marital problems, difficult life transitions, grief or relationship issues.
